Je Prefer
Web Edit / Excerpt of Feature Film
For Quad Group
(FRANCE)
Je Prefere Qu’on Reste Amis is the first feature film of the directing team of Olivier Nakache and Eric Toledano. Jean-Paul Rouve and Gérard Depardieu star in the romantic comedy. This was also Paris based commercial production company Quad Film’s first foray into feature film production. Most of the story takes place in Paris but the finale of the film takes place in New York. Michael Owen was referred to Quad Films as a producer who could deliver the ambitious shot list within the constraints of a tight European independent film budget.
MediaCombo assembled a fast and efficient crew to work with the directors and DP Pascal Ridao, including Les Fincher, location scout / manager and LA based French helicopter pilot Fred North. The schedule was planned and executed in three days of location production and a forth day or aerial photography with ground coordination. Locations included the lobby of a prestigious Midtown office building, Times Square at night, traveling shots on the Brooklyn Bridge and New Jersey Turnpike as well as other iconic New York City locations in Manhattan and Brooklyn.
