“Let’s shoot the Lamborghini Gallardo racing through the streets of Manhattan!” That was the brief presented by Uwe Schlottmann of Radical Images in Germany, when he contacted Michael Owen regarding the feasibility and cost of filming a promotional film for the new sports car. By the time Uwe and the directors arrived in New York, only eight days remained before the first shoot day. In a very few long days we pulled the production together with the cooperation of the Mayor’s Office, the Police Film Unit and Department of Transportation.

We secured permission to close a section of FDR Drive, holding traffic on the 59th Street Bridge and a section of Eighth Avenue. Lamborghini and Radical Images were very pleased with the film they made and their experience of shooting in New York.
